"Since working with Workhorse Irons, I have been given the opportunity to remaster my Revival machine, but being able to merge it into the platform of Adam Ciferri’s Ghostdog.

There have been many things I’ve learned from the original Revival, along with many more years experience with the compression spring/bearing pivot.

Combine that with a superior magnetic circuit that Adam and Workhorse have dialed in, and you get something quite magical. We are very pleased with the performance, versatility, and ergonomics of this machine.

It’s functional voltage range starts at around 4.5 volts, and keeps going up without chatter or excessive heat.

With the engineering that went into the spring setup, the user does not have to settle for squishy nipples to prevent their springs from breaking.

This machine comes stock as a strong, medium speed liner (or fast shader) at around 105-110 cps loaded. (About 125-130 cps unloaded)

Because of the large voltage range, it is capable of all size needle groupings. (*the contact screw can be backed out to run in the 90 cps range as well)

For a slappier, punchier hit, the backer spring under the contact spring can be removed.

I have put much attention into the weight distribution, to put the weight forward and low, providing superior stability, and preventing wrist fatigue.

Machine Setup:

Machine comes setup for use as a slow or medium speed Liner or a quick shader. To easily change to a slow and punchy color packer, simply remove the backer spring under the front spring.
Standard Needle on Bar: standard coil machine set up. Work well with our Thick Rubber Bands and Dan's Perfect Nipples, but also work with standard nipples/grommets.
Cartridges: possible, but not highly recommended.

Newly remastered, this is the 2nd variant of the 2nd generation of the Mojobox. New spring setup that enhances performance, punch, adjustability, and makes it more cartridge friendly!

Now with more versatility and ease of hit adjustment throughout the tattoo. It is more ergonomic, more reliable, and most of all, more performance focused than its predecessor. It is a punchy coil like machine with the reliability and ergonomics of a rotary.

Highlights:

Brass Frame with High Polish Nickel Plated Finish and Black Hardware
Numbered upstroke wheel (same as the V3r). The higher the number, the harder it will hit. *Please use common sense & not run it on high volts with a high setting on the upstroke wheel.
Intended for standard needle on bar. For cartridges, you may use a rubber band to negate the tension by pulling the rubber band over the top of the armature. Needle on bar will have more hit and cartridges will be slightly subdued and less aggressive which is the nature of a cartridge.

Specifications:

Normal operating range: 5.3 - 6 volts for lining, 4 - 5.5 volts for shading.
Excellent for fine line, black and grey, color packing with any size mag.
Can drive 14 liners, if you prefer to “set the needle into the skin”

Dan Kubin's Newest Sidewinder, the V46er with RCA + Clip Cord!

The 46er is a culmination of my versions 4-6 Sidewinders, remastered and enhanced to perfection. This machine features a very large stroke adjustment range that can suite single needle work, all the way up to the largest liners and mag shaders.

This machine is very strong off the tip with a great follow-through. Its number one purpose is as a strong, precise, off the tip liner; though it has proven to be much more capable.

Highlights:

Wider springs for more durability.
Large, easy to turn, hardened steel stroke wheel. Pre-set stroke range and middle timing mark to prevent the machine from getting too far out of tune when experimenting.
Hardened alloy steel impact pin. Positioned towards the rear of the frame to help with noise
Large cam with precise timing mark. Allows for easier, and more precise impact alignment checks
Smooth, easy clamping tube vice.
Forward weight distribution for better ergonomics.
Beautiful brass armature bar, perfectly balanced for a strong, confident, and consistent hit.
O-ring groove in the bar allows for a more silent option (though will reduce performance as well)
Reliable Mabuchi motor. -because they run forever without losing consistency.

Specifications:

Weights 4.4 oz. This Featherweight model has about the perfect amount of mass, where it is light and agile, but not so light that it wants to jump out of your hand or feel shakey.
Recommended voltage range: 4 - 6.5 volts
Approximate stroke range: 2 - 4mm (keep in mind the stoke goes up more due to the springs. The stroke of a Sidewinder cannot be compared to other rotaries as the hit is completely different)

RCA Specifications:

RCA version is wired for the harder hit mode only using RCA connection
This RCA motor housing was designed around a Critical Universal battery pack, but fits with most battery packs I have tried, such as Musotoku, Ink Claw, and Papa.
This will also work good with a right-angle RCA cord.
Clip Cord option still works, it is just wired backwards (Positive Down for Harder Hit)
The position of the battery makes the machine’s balance point much more forward, like a pen.

Machine Setup:

Standard Needle on Bar:
- Needle Bar Tensioner - when setting up your needle and tube, position needle tensioner in desired position depending on the amount of tension you want to add to the needle bar. Adjust position by loosening the thumbscrew and then tightening when you reach desired tension.
- Rubber Band alternative setup - Loosen / remove thumbscrew to take the needle tensioner off. Then when setting up the machine, wrap a thick rubber band around the motor cap and across the front of the machine to add needle bar tension. It is recommended that you use Thick Rubber Bands and Dan's Perfect Nipples.
Cartridges: wrap a rubber band around the motor cap and over the top of the armature bar to counteract the cartridge's upward tension. Thick or standard rubber bands both work, it will just depend on the tension of the cartridge membrane or band to determine with rubber band provides the proper counter resistance.

Description:

The most significant update to the V3/24 Sidewinder is the added (and optional) Needle Bar Tensioner. This added tensioner eliminates the need to use a Rubber Band, improving all around machine performance and results. Tensioner reduces spitting and increases power. These machines can be used with or without the Tensioner, it is detached by simply removing the thumbscrew and taking it off the machine.

Aside from the added Needle Bar Tensioner, this new version of remastered V3 Sidewinder is dialed in and updated with various improvements to increase machine longevity and consistency.

The V3/24 follows the same concept as the past V3r, but with a focus on what makes a Sidewinder a Sidewinder. Hard hitting, effortless, and zippy. -Intended for experienced artists who don’t want to mess around.

Introducing the Remastered Swingliner!

Expect more performance, reliability, and ergonomics.

Like its predecessor, the polarity of the clipcord determines if the hit is harder or softer. The difference being that the hit is now much crispier and precise. It has a nice give to it to accompany the crispy punch, making for a very efficient yet non-invasive hit.

The Ergonomics have been greatly increased by lowering the center of gravity, and shifting the mass to the front of the machine.

Since the first incarnation of the Swingliner, followed by the DMC, I have learned many tricks and much more about the unique cam concept to bring you the most dependable, simple to use, high performance cartridge machine yet!

No nipples, no rubber bands, no tuning, no bullshit.
