"A few Dan Kubin hand engraved one-of-a-kind machines coming up for sale. These were a lot of fun to do and no two are alike." - Todd Hlavaty, one of the very best in the business who contributed to this exceptionally impressive collection of custom Mojobox frames which he engraved by hand.

The newly remastered Mojobox! New spring setup that enhances performance, punch, and adjustability. Now with more versatility and ease of hit adjustment throughout the tattoo. It is ergonomic, reliable, and most of all, more performance focused than its predecessor. It is a punchy coil like machine with the reliability and ergonomics of a rotary.

  • Brass Frame with Frosted Rose Plated Finish and 24k Gold Plated Parts
  • Todd Hlavaty Hand Engraved Frida + Praying Hands + Filigree Touches
  • Marked stroke dial so you can easily play with the stroke without fear of losing that sweet spot. There are three lines on the stroke wheel…shortest line is for shortest stroke / smaller groupings, the 3/4 line is middle of the road for medium stroke / medium to large groupings, full line is long stroke for large grouping work. You can’t make it too long or too short, play with it and find the right setting for the work you are doing.

Specifications:

  • Normal operating range: 5.3 - 6 volts for lining, 4 - 5.5 volts for shading. It is not recommended to exceed 7.
  • Excellent for fine line, black and grey, color packing.
  • Can drive 14 liner
  • Intended for standard needle on bar. For cartridges, you may use a rubber band to negate the tension by pulling the rubber band over the top of the armature. Needle on bar will have more hit and cartridges will be slightly subdued and less aggressive, which is the nature of a cartridge.
  • Weight: 2.95 oz

Dan Kubin's V46er Sidewinder

The 46er is a culmination of my versions 4-6 Sidewinders, remastered and enhanced to perfection. This machine features a very large stroke adjustment range that can suite single needle work, all the way up to the largest liners and mag shaders.

This machine is very strong off the tip with a great follow-through. Its number one purpose is as a strong, precise, off the tip liner; though it has proven to be much more capable.

Highlights:
  • Black Brass Frame with Custom Distressed Finish(*Finish may vary) 🖤
  • Wider springs for more durability.
  • Large, easy to turn, hardened steel stroke wheel. Pre-set stroke range and middle timing mark to prevent the machine from getting too far out of tune when experimenting.
  • Hardened alloy steel impact pin. Positioned towards the rear of the frame to help with noise
  • Large cam with precise timing mark. Allows for easier, and more precise impact alignment checks
  • Smooth, easy clamping tube vice.
  • Forward weight distribution for better ergonomics.
  • Beautiful brass armature bar, perfectly balanced for a strong, confident, and  consistent hit.  
  • O-ring groove in the bar allows for a more silent option (though will reduce performance as well)
  • Reliable Mabuchi motor. -because they run forever without losing consistency. 
Specifications:
  • Weighs 6 oz. This is the Standard Brass version. Slight more weight, but also slightly less vibration than the Featherweight edition.
  • Recommended voltage range: 4 - 6.5 volts
  • Approximate stroke range: 2 - 4mm  (keep in mind the stoke goes up more due to the springs.  The stroke of a Sidewinder cannot be compared to other rotaries as the hit is completely different)

RCA Specifications:

  • RCA version is wired for the harder hit mode only using RCA connection
  • This RCA motor housing was designed around a Critical Universal battery pack, but fits with most battery packs I have tried, such as Musotoku, Ink Claw, and Papa.
  • This will also work good with a right-angle RCA cord.
  • Clip Cord option still works, it is just wired backwards (Positive Down for Harder Hit)
  • The position of the battery makes the machine’s balance point much more forward, like a pen.
  • NEW RCA / Clip cord version with straight up battery position
