The Mercury Wireless Pen has been designed to work flawlessly with the ROVER R-1 Universal Battery, delivering 10 to 15 hours of continuous power.
The Mercury is also compatible with magnetic batteries by Critical/Bishop.
For artists who prefer a corded connection, an RCA cap adapter is available to easily convert the pen for cord-operated functionality.

This wireless battery was designed in collaboration with Dan Kubin. It has been specially crafted to harness the full potential of Dan Kubin machines. Each Battery Pack comes with 2 batteries and a charger!

What’s New

The most remarkable difference with the normal ROVER R-1 is that this model works down to 2.5V for precise works.
The second most important change has been made to the NITRO jumpstart that now it is configurable (on/off), so you can configure it to activate it or not.
The jumpstart now is also Adaptive, which means that it gradually decreases the speed of the jumpstart as the machine voltage decreases. This enhances the startup feel while respecting the motor speed regime.Best of all! This Model is 100% compatible with the rest of tattoo machines that work from 5 to 12V. You can use normally in your pen machines if you want.

Design

The mechanical adapters are made of resin and weights 15 gr each (0.5 oz).

After positioning the adapter you can balance the ROVER R-1 forward or backward to balance the weight of the machine at your convenience.

The interior of the adapters is padded with a rubber pad to ensure your machine doesn't suffer the slightest scratch.

The wing nut allows you to quickly lock and secure your ROVER.
Additionally, you can adjust the battery pack position to perfectly balance the center of gravity and prevent excessive pulling from its weight.

The RCA-to-clip cord pigtail is included in the package.

The clip has been specifically designed for DK machines, and will allow you to use your ROVER R-1 choosing what polarity you want for your DK machine

It is possible to add spare pigtails choosing the right option on this page.
By ordering extra spare pigtails you get the advantage of leaving it plugged in your machine so you don't need to move it from machine to machine while working.

FAQ

Does it include the RCA-to-Clip cord Pigtail?
Yes, the pigtail is included with the standard package. Additionally you can also buy spare pigtails if you want to leave them plugged in your different machines.

Does the Snap'n Lock work with the Mojobox?
The snap'n lock included in this kit can only be used with Dan Kubin's Sidewinder machines. The Mojobox will have a specific adapter (which we are working on), as it is a more complex model to adapt.

What Battery packs are compatibles with the snap'n lock adapters?
The snap'n lock adapters are designed exclusively for the ROVER R-1 from MUSOTOKU. Apart from the ROVER R-1 designed for DK you can use any ROVER R-1 with RCA connector.

Are the snap'n lock compatible with other machines?
The snap'n lock has been designed to fit perfectly with Dan Kubin's sidewinders, ensuring the best possible experience. Any other machine could be compatible if it had identical measurements.

Can the clip cord be used with different polarity?
Yes, it can. The standard position is positive up (red) and negative down (black). Dan Kubin indicates that changing the polarity is possible and the result is a smoother hit.

Why is there a RCA Snap'n Lock included in the kit ?
Sidewinders are machines that can vibrate a lot, especially the lighter aluminum models. The RCA connector was designed for audio equipment where vibrations were not an issue. Its adoption in the tattoo industry has made it possible to use an extended standard, but it is not a connector that withstands vibrations well. That's why it's necessary to mitigate this inconvenience with a mechanical system adapted to the application.

Is the Snap'n Lock comfortable?
This is undoubtedly the most comfortable option for using your Dan Kubin with a battery. The location of the SNL ensures that the battery's center of gravity is as low as possible. Additionally, you can adjust the battery's angle to suit your hand position.
Even with all these advantages, the battery weighs 69 grams, which adds to the weight of the machine. It will likely take some time to get used to.

While the comfort of working wirelessly is unmatched, batteries are not for everyone. If you think you are very sensitive to the weight of your machine, it might be a good idea to try it out first before buying.

How to clean the snap'n lock?
All components have been tested with aggressive solvents. Our recommendation is to protect them when using and then clean them with a tissue soaked in disinfectant. Avoid soaking your accessories in disinfectant as they may degrade over time.
