Dan Kubin Sidewinder 46er - FEATHERWEIGHT Olive x Olive Aluminum RCA + Clip Cord

Workhorse Irons

Dan Kubin Sidewinder 46er - FEATHERWEIGHT Olive x Olive Aluminum RCA + Clip Cord

$935.00 USD

Dan Kubin's Newest Sidewinder, the V46er with RCA + Clip Cord!

The 46er is a culmination of my versions 4-6 Sidewinders, remastered and enhanced to perfection. This machine features a very large stroke adjustment range that can suite single needle work, all the way up to the largest liners and mag shaders.

This machine is very strong off the tip with a great follow-through. It's number one purpose is as a strong, precise, off the tip liner; though It has proven to be much more capable.

Highlights:

Wider springs for more durability.
Large, easy to turn, hardened steel stroke wheel. Pre-set stroke range and middle timing mark to prevent the machine from getting too far out of tune when experimenting.
Hardened alloy steel impact pin. Positioned towards the rear of the frame to help with noise
Large cam with precise timing mark. Allows for easier, and more precise impact alignment checks
Smooth, easy clamping tube vice.
Forward weight distribution for better ergonomics.
Beautiful brass armature bar, perfectly balanced for a strong, confident, and consistent hit.
O-ring groove in the bar allows for a more silent option (though will reduce performance as well)
Reliable Mabuchi motor. -because they run forever without losing consistency.

Specifications:

Weighs 4.4 oz! This Featherweight model has about the perfect amount of mass, where it is light and agile, but not so light that it wants to jump out of your hand or feel shakey.
Recommended voltage range: 4 - 6.5 volts
Approximate stroke range: 2 - 4mm (keep in mind the stoke goes up more due to the springs. The stroke of a Sidewinder cannot be compared to other rotaries as the hit is completely different)

RCA Specifications:

RCA version is wired for the harder hit mode only using RCA connection
This RCA motor housing was designed around a Critical Universal battery pack, but fits with most battery packs I have tried, such as Musotoku, Ink Claw, and Papa.
This will also work good with a right-angle RCA cord.
Clip Cord option still works, it is just wired backwards (Positive Down for Harder Hit)
The position of the battery makes the machine’s balance point much more forward, like a pen.
NEW RCA / Clip cord version with straight up battery position

A few words from Joshua about this machine:
This is a very powerful and capable machine. It has real nice stroke characteristics, nice and snappy with the perfect amount of bog. The best machine if you're wanting to use one machine for lining, shading, or both. Designed for use with cartridges but is equally effective running needle and tube setup. It has a nice snappy powerful stroke that will drop in nice single pass lines with large or small groupings. As a shader, turn the voltage down to slow the speed and still have that punch to drop in solid color or blend with very low trauma.

Dan Kubin Sidewinder v7.5 - Rubbed Bronze w/ Black

Workhorse Irons

Dan Kubin Sidewinder v7.5 - Rubbed Bronze w/ Black

$1,050.00 USD

Dan Kubin Sidewinder v7.5

The main goal for this batch is for simple tuning, but with the option to dial it precisely for those who know how they want their machine to run. Considered by some to be the most revolutionary Sidewinder yet.

The v7.5 Sidewinder has the unique ability to allow users to adjust stroke length and hit independently. This means you can keep the stroke that works for you while playing with needle groupings, style, and skin types.

Highlights:

Rubbed Bronze plated frame with Black side plating
Deluxe Blackened and Brass Hardware
Impact screw and stroke length are now adjusted with the 1.5mm Allen key provided with the machine.
Straight angle on drive spring shelf on the armature bar, allowing for a more effortless and graceful hit.
More prominent timing marks on the side plate for the impact pin. (for advanced tuning/stroke adjustment, this helps with being more intuitive)
Crisp and clean acoustics, slightly quieter than other sidewinder models
Side locking screw is positioned to secure the impact screw most effectively

Specifications:

Forward, low and balanced weight of 6.2 oz
Recommended voltage range: 4 - 6.5
Great in the lower volt range for shading to color packing, fine line and stippled whip shading techniques.
It has 5 stroke positions ranging from 3.5-4mm. While tattooing, hit is controlled with adjustable return spring tension. If you want a softer hitting machine, you don’t have to compromise the stroke length.

Dan Kubin's Newest Sidewinder, the V46er!

Its number one purpose is as a strong, precise, off the tip liner; though it has proven to be much more capable.

Highlights:

NEON YELLOW HD POWDER COATED FINISH 🖤

Weighs 6 oz
Recommended voltage range: 4 - 6.5 volts
Approximate stroke range: 2 - 4mm (keep in mind the stoke goes up more due to the springs. The stroke of a Sidewinder cannot be compared to other rotaries as the hit is completely different)
Polarity: Positive up - spins motor clockwise - slaps harder, ideal for large grouping liners. Positive down - spins motor counterclockwise -slightly passive hit, ideal for shading and fine line
