Our tattoo machines are built by tattooers, for tattooers.
The builders represented by Workhorse are all quite adept at tattooing in their respective styles and know how to construct a rock solid dependable tool that makes your job easier. In short, we aren’t a bunch of investors looking to make a buck off of tattooing. We are tattooers with the best interest of the tattoo community in mind.
**NEW DK Pricing - Starting October 1st we shifted all Dan Kubin machine pricing lower! Thanks to Dan for some clever engineering and milling updates / investments, we are now able to shift all DK pricing down. Times are tough and tariffs are crazy right now...thankfully we produce all DK machines in the USA and have the ability to pass the savings onto our customers.
Dan Kubin Mojobox V2.2
Newly remastered, this is the 2nd variant of the 2nd generation of the Mojobox. New spring setup that enhances performance, punch, adjustability, and makes it more cartridge friendly!
Now with more versatility and ease of hit adjustment throughout the tattoo. It is more ergonomic, more reliable, and most of all, more performance focused than its predecessor. It is a punchy coil like machine with the reliability and ergonomics of a rotary.
Highlights:
Brass Frame with Black HD Finish
Numbered upstroke wheel (same as the V3r). The higher the number, the harder it will hit. *Please use common sense & not run it on high volts with a high setting on the upstroke wheel.
Intended for standard needle on bar. For cartridges, you may use a rubber band to negate the tension by pulling the rubber band over the top of the armature. Needle on bar will have more hit and cartridges will be slightly subdued and less aggressive which is the nature of a cartridge.
Specifications:
Normal operating range: 5.3 - 6 volts for lining, 4 - 5.5 volts for shading.
Excellent for fine line, black and grey, color packing with any size mag.
Can drive 14 liners, if you prefer to “set the needle into the skin”

Weight: 5 oz

All DK Machines sold by Workhorse are engineered, designed, and tested by Dan, milled in his most trusted machine shop, then assembled by DK certified trained technicians at the Workhorse facility in Michigan. All Sidewinders go through rigorous QC checks and are all ran through our testing machine to lightly break in. One year warranty on all models. All current Sidewinders are serviced by Workhorse, some older models are serviced by Dan or one of his certified technicians found on his website.
Limited Edition Aaron Cain X Dan Kubin Biomech Brass V3R Sidewinder
Regular price$1,450.00 USD
Special Limited Edition Biomech Dan Kubin V3R Sidewinder carved by Aaron Cain!!!
Machine Specs:
Raw Brass Frame (for earned natural patina it will gain over time and use) plus Blackened Hardware
Carved and Finished by Aaron Cain!!
DK Thumbscrew, Batch 4 weighted Armature Bar, and Stroke Wheel
The renowned rotary liner. Effortlessly sink any size line by just grazing the skin. Also good for shading and color blends if you adjust your stroke and voltage.
The motor is the same as the V2-V4 Sidewinder, which has proven the test of time. It has been a favorite of the long time Sidewinder collectors.
Vice-Lock that easily tightens on nearly any tube
Great for all varieties of Line Work or as a Fast Shader/Packer
Timing mark on the cam and frame for setting the impact screw. (Just like the V5 and V6)
Numbered stroke dial so you can easily play with the stroke without fear of losing that sweet spot. You can’t make it too long or too short
Machine Setup:
Standard Needle on Bar: wrap a thick rubber band around the motor cap and across the front of the machine to add needle bar tension. It is recommended that you use Thick Rubber Bands and Dan's Perfect Nipples.
Cartridges: wrap a rubber band around the motor cap and over the top of the armature bar to counteract the cartridge's upward tension. Thick or standard rubber bands both work, it will just depend on the tension of the cartridge membrane or band to determine with rubber band provides the proper counter resistance.

"Now with an updated weighted impact screw! I found that it helps with the stability of the hit, and improved overall performance. Also, please note the rubber band position is another simple tuning element. For lower volt operations, or harder hit, position the band pointing slightly up. This will reduce return spring tension thus making it operate better at slower speeds and decreasing the amount of give. Bonus is less strain on the rubber band.
Previous updates to the V3R include adding the coveted DK thumbscrew, moving the impact screw (the most crucial and misunderstood tuning element) to the front end of the armature bar and added a hardened steel impact pin so the machine will be easier to reset, and will hold its tune much longer. I also used a few tricks from the V7 to reduce spitting and make it hit a bit more rigid on the low end and added the backer springs as well to prevent spring breakage.
These updates are in addition to the 2019 updated version which still has the same dependable and proven geometry as the original v3, but now revisited and remastered with subtle differences to improve overall performance. This is the most user friendly Sidewinder yet. The differences, others than aesthetics, is the numbered stroke wheel, an impact screw timing mark on the cam and frame (like the v5-6). Additionally, I did a new spring loaded vice lock setup that effortlessly clamps down your tube. The stroke wheel is indexed in 10 positions, and numbered accordingly."
Thanks for looking - Dan.
