We are thrilled to have Dan Kubin on our team working with us on various collaborative projects. It is an honor to represent his brand, to sell his machines and parts, as well as build his licensed models. Dan's goals and quality match the Workhorse ethos, providing the best tools to the craft of tattooing.
Step up your tattoo game with the new DK MCi – a plug-and-play remastered version of Dan's Mini Cranker from 2011. Updated and refined, it's designed for precision and ease of use, whether you're using a needle on bar or cartridges. With its wide range of versatility and solid hit, it's a must-have for any tattoo artist.
Highlights:
Steel Frame with durable Rubbed Bronze Plated Finish
24k Gold Plated Hardware
Weighted Brass Armature
Deluxe Kubin Components including DK Thumbs and updated Slide Vise
Great for Lining and Shading with small to medium groupings, turn voltage up and down for speed and hit adjustment as needed
Higher voltage between 5 - 7 Volts for most Lining
Lower Voltage between 3.5 - 5 Volts for most Shading, Color Packing, and Stipple Work
Setup / Specifications:
Works well with Standard Needle on Bar AND with Cartridges
Possible to run with Cartridges without any adjustment or tricks, but if you pull your rubber band over the armature it will increase the snap at the tip
This machine is cartridge friendly, but best to use lower tension cartridges if going that route. (Workhorse Eco Carts and Non Membrane Carts work well with these machines)
Polarity is not crucial, but will run slightly more efficiently with Positive Down
The impact screw can be backed off all the way, but ideal to still have a little impact to reduce motor shaft strain
Turning the impact screw in too much will result in stalling the machine or putting too much strain on the motor.
Ideal impact is about 1/4-1/2 turn clockwise from the point of zero impact.
Use and Care:
Please refer to the MCi setup video on my YouTube channel for further clarification - See Link Below
After a few years, the bearings may dry up. You may use A SINGLE DROP of sewing machine oil on the bearings. DO NOT FILL THE MOTOR WITH OIL!!
Keep sterilants away from all moving and electrical components! Sterilants are corrosive and will damage your machine if used carelessly.

Dan Kubin Sidewinder 46er - Gold AF RCA + Clip Cord
Regular price$1,065.00 USD
Dan Kubin's Newest Sidewinder, the V46er!
The 46er is a culmination of my versions 4-6 Sidewinders, remastered and enhanced to perfection. This machine features a very large stroke adjustment range that can suite single needle work, all the way up to the largest liners and mag shaders.
This machine is very strong off the tip with a great follow-through. Its number one purpose is as a strong, precise, off the tip liner; though it has proven to be much more capable.
Highlights:
Beautiful 24k Gold plated frame and parts!
Wider springs for more durability.
Large, easy to turn, hardened steel stroke wheel. Pre-set stroke range and middle timing mark to prevent the machine from getting too far out of tune when experimenting.
Hardened alloy steel impact pin. Positioned towards the rear of the frame to help with noise
Large cam with precise timing mark. Allows for easier, and more precise impact alignment checks
Smooth, easy clamping tube vice.
Forward weight distribution for better ergonomics.
Reliable Mabuchi motor. -because they run forever without losing consistency.
Specifications:
Weighs 6 oz
Recommended voltage range: 4 - 6.5 volts
Approximate stroke range: 2 - 4mm (keep in mind the stoke goes up more due to the springs. The stroke of a Sidewinder cannot be compared to other rotaries as the hit is completely different)
Polarity: Positive up - spins motor clockwise - slaps harder, ideal for large grouping liners. Positive down - spins motor counterclockwise -slightly passive hit, ideal for shading and fine line
RCA Specifications:
RCA version is wired for the harder hit mode only using RCA connection
This RCA motor housing was designed around a Critical Universal battery pack, but fits with most battery packs I have tried, such as Musotoku, Ink Claw, and Papa.
This will also work good with a right-angle RCA cord.
Clip Cord option still works, it is just wired backwards (Positive Down for Harder Hit)
The position of the battery makes the machine’s balance point much more forward, like a pen.
NEW RCA / Clip cord version with straight up battery position

Antiqued Nickel Plated Brass Frame and Motor Cover with Black Hardware (*Finish may vary)
DK Thumbscrew, new Armature Bar, and updated Stroke Wheel for improved performance
The renowned rotary liner. Effortlessly sink any size line by just grazing the skin.
The motor is the same as the V2-V4 and V7 Sidewinder, which has proven the test of time. It has been a favorite of the long time Sidewinder collectors.
Vice-Lock that easily tightens on nearly any tube
Great for all varieties of Line Work or as a Fast Shader/Packer
Timing mark on the cam and frame for setting the impact screw. (Just like the V5 and V6)
Marked stroke dial so you can easily play with the stroke without fear of losing that sweet spot. You can’t make it too long or too short
Machine Setup:
Standard Needle on Bar:
Needle Bar Tensioner - when setting up your needle and tube, position needle tensioner in desired position depending on the amount of tension you want to add to the needle bar. Adjust position by loosening the thumbscrew and then tightening when you reach desired tension.
Rubber Band alternative setup - Loosen / remove thumbscrew to take the needle tensioner off. Then when setting up the machine, wrap a thick rubber band around the motor cap and across the front of the machine to add needle bar tension. It is recommended that you use Thick Rubber Bands and Dan's Perfect Nipples.
Cartridges: wrap a rubber band around the motor cap and over the top of the armature bar to counteract the cartridge's upward tension. Thick or standard rubber bands both work, it will just depend on the tension of the cartridge membrane or band to determine with rubber band provides the proper counter resistance.
RCA Specifications:
RCA version is wired for the harder hit mode only using RCA connection. If using a clip cord on this version, they are wired opposite of the standard clip cord version, use Positive side DOWN for hard hit, Positive up for a more muted hit.
This RCA motor housing was designed around a Critical Universal battery pack, but fits with most battery packs I have tried, such as Musotoku, Ink Claw, and Papa.
This will also work good with a right-angle RCA cord.
Clip Cord option still works, it is just wired backwards.

The offset helps put the machine over the top of the user’s hand, making it more ergonomic and easier to keep the machine upright when pulling those large square looking lines.
TWO Versions Available:
Heavy Weight 1.25" BRASS Grip and Stainless Steel backstem (8oz)
Feather Weight 1.25" ALUMINUM Grip and Stainless Steel backstem (2.75oz)
Brass is heavier but absorbs vibration more and offsets the pull of a clip cord and or any ass end tattoo machine weight, balancing more over the hand
Aluminum is much lighter and pairs well with use of a battery to reduce overall weight. Balance is a bit better with the Brass version, but it is a tradeoff for weight.
Offset for better balance and visibility
Made of naturally anti-microbial Brass
Each Grip Comes with 5 pack of Cartridge Drive Bars
Please cover with barrier film for extra protection!

The most significant update to the V3/24 Sidewinder is the added (and optional) Needle Bar Tensioner. This added Tensioner eliminates the need to use a Rubber Band, improving all around machine performance and results. Tensioner reduces spitting and increases power.
The V3/24 Tensioner can be used on all versions of Dan Kubin V3Rs, 2019 to 2024.
Needle Bar Tensioner Specifications:
Lightweight Aerospace Aluminum Arm with precision made custom bearing
Creates necessary needle bar tension for stability, eliminating the need to use a Rubber Band
Moves forward and backwards, in and out of position easily by loosening and tightening the thumbscrew
When setting up your needle and tube, position Needle Tensioner in desired position depending on the amount of tension you want to add to the needle bar.
Adjust position by loosening the thumbscrew, pull arm back and then tighten when you reach desired tension.
Upgrade Step by Step:
Loosen and remove the thumbscrew
Insert thumbscrew into hole in Needle Bar Tensioner
Re-insert thumbscrew into frame with Tensioner bearing facing inwards (see picture)
Ensure Vise Slide is in correct position, so the thumbscrew easily threads into Slide
Tighten with Needle Bar Tensioner in desired position
**OG V3R and V3/23 SPECIAL NOTE - Use of this Tensioner instead of Rubber Bands will noticeably increase the strength of your machine. If it is hitting too hard using the Needle Bar Tensioner, simply adjust your voltage and turn the machine down and adjust stroke wheel setting as needed to accomplish desired speed / hit.

DK Swift Tips - 1 to 5 Round - Box of 24 Tips (Grip Not Included)
*Must be used with DK Swift Tip Grip
These tips have great visibility and come to a nice point. The biggest benefit is being able to see more needle even when you don't have a lot of needle hanging out.
The shape of the round tips is in between a round and a diamond. That said, it is the best of both worlds. It allows for maximum versatility and stability for a wider range of sizes.
This tip configuration is for your smaller round needle groupings.
I prefer it for my singles to 5's, and even tight or bug pin 7's.
These tips are hydrophobic and have an antimicrobial additive in them. That said, you may need to check with your local health dept for protocol on single use plastic products used in the tattooing process. (such as ink caps)
