DK O-RINGS (5 Pack)

Dan has used many different o-rings for his many different machines and different versions of those machines. This is not an end all list of o-rings for any and all machines, but hopefully it is enough to get you what you need. These are the ones we have, if you need something not listed or if you are unsure, please contact us and we will do our best to get you what you need. 

Each O-Ring comes in a pack of 5.

Stroke Wheel O-Ring Viton = Used for Stroke Wheel on most Sidewinders. Can also be used on Cams. 

Standard Cam O-Ring EPDM = Holds Bearing on Cam on most any Sidewinder

Mojobox Armature O-Ring = Connects Armature to Linkage on Mojobox V2

MCi Armature O-Ring = Connects Armature to Linkage on MCi

MCi Cam O-Ring = Holds Bearing on Cam on MCi

New DK Swift Tip System!  

This is a new and convenient way to use standard needles with a metal grip to maintain the rigid feel and counterweight of a steel tube. If setup correctly, this system allows for a proper barrier from cross contamination without use of an autoclave. It is still recommended to wipe the grip with a sterilant between uses as you would your workstation. 

Quick and easy setup for standard needle on bar use with much less vibration than standard disposable tubes. Less vibration means less harm to your hands, tendons, and overall body stress for greater longevity and health. 

Utilizing a metal grip and small click in plastic tips, this system creates much less waste...about 95% less plastic than most disposable grips! 

DK Swift Tips - 1 to 5 Round - Box of 24 Tips (Grip Not Included)

*Must be used with DK Swift Tip Grip

These tips have great visibility and come to a nice point.  The biggest benefit is being able to see more needle even when you don't have a lot of needle hanging out.

The shape of the round tips is in between a round and a diamond. That said, it is the best of both worlds.  It allows for maximum versatility and stability for a wider range of sizes.

This tip configuration is for your smaller round needle groupings.

I prefer it for my singles to 5's, and even tight or bug pin 7's.

These tips are hydrophobic and have an antimicrobial additive in them. That said, you may need to check with your local health dept for protocol on single use plastic products used in the tattooing process. (such as ink caps)

DK Swift Tips - 7 Mag - Box of 24 Tips (Grip Not Included)

These tips have great visibility and come to a nice point.  The biggest benefit is being able to see more needle even when you don't have a lot of needle hanging out.

The shape of the mag tip allows for mor visibility at the end of the tip.  The side wall is beveled back so there is no excess material on the edges. This allows for getting a more precise "cut in" near lines and tight spaces.

Fits 7 mags.

I prefer it for my traditional 9 rounds up to 14. (It still has more room for a larger grouping but would more than likely be for a tight grouping or bug pin if in that 18 Round size.)

If using a tight 9, or 11, or in a bug pin configuration, I recommend the 5-11 size

Dan Kubin Sidewinder v7.5

The main goal for this batch is for simple tuning, but with the option to dial it precisely for those who know how they want their machine to run. Considered by some to be the most revolutionary Sidewinder yet.

Highlights:

• Impact screw and Impact pin are now adjusted with the 1.5mm Allen key provided with the machine. Impact screw is also adjustable for precise tuning.
• Straight angle on drive spring shelf on the armature bar, allowing for a more effortless and graceful hit.
• Impact screw and Impact pin are now adjusted with the 1.5mm Allen key provided with the machine.
• More prominent timing marks on the side plate for the impact pin.  (for advanced tuning/stroke adjustment, this helps with being more intuitive)
• Cleaner sound/better acoustics.
• Side locking screw is positioned to secure the impact screw most effectively

Specifications:

• Forward, low and balanced weight of 6.2 oz
• Recommended voltage range: 4 - 6.5
• Great in the lower volt range for shading to color packing, fine line and stippled whip shading techniques.
• It has 5 stroke positions ranging from 3.5-4mm. While tattooing, hit is controlled with adjustable return spring tension. If you want a softer hitting machine, you don’t have to compromise the stroke length.  You can simply adjust the return spring tension on the fly throughout the tattoo.

DK Machines sold by Workhorse are engineered and designed by Dan. Parts are milled in his authorized and trusted machine shop, then assembled by DK certified trained technicians at the Workhorse facility in Michigan. All Sidewinders go through rigorous QC checks and are all ran through our testing machine to lightly break in. One year warranty on all models. All current Sidewinders are serviced by Workhorse, some older models are serviced by Dan or one of his certified technicians found on his website.

Dan Kubin Weighted Impact Screw Kit

"New updated weighted impact screw! I found that it helps with the stability of the hit and improved overall performance. Also, please note the rubber band position is another simple tuning element. For lower volt operations, or harder hit, position the band pointing slightly up. This will reduce return spring tension thus making it operate better at slower speeds and decreasing the amount of give. Bonus is less strain on the rubber band."

Weighted Impact Kit Specifications:

• Upgrade for Dan Kubin V3R with updated armature bar (Late 2019 to 2022)
  
• Custom heat treated tool steel RHC 60 plus o-ring
• Easy swap out to increase the hit while improving the overall feel and sound
• Kit also includes both the 1.5mm and 2mm L wrench

Upgrade Step by Step: (see pictures for guidance)

1. Use the 1.5mm wrench to loosen the set screw on the side of the armature bar. Half a turn should loosen it enough to easily remove the impact screw.
2. Hold down the armature bar and use the 2mm wrench to remove the old impact screw.
3. Once removed, use the 1.5mm wrench to insert and tighten the weighted impact screw down until the o-ring starts to bulge out as it makes contact with the top of the armature.
4. Tuning - this is the most important step and will affect the timing and stroke of your machine.
1. While holding the armature bar down, roll the cam back until it makes contact with the vertical spring and gently stops. In this position the timing mark on the cam should align with the center of the timing mark on the frame.
2. If the timing mark on the cam is on the low side of the timing mark on the frame, tighten the weighted impact a little until it raises up to the center of the timing mark on the frame.
3. If the timing mark on the cam is on the high side, the impact is too far in and needs to be backed out (loosened) until the timing mark on the cam is in the center of the timing mark on the frame.
5. Use the 1.5mm wrench to tighten the set screw on the side of the armature bar.
6. Your machine is now upgraded and ready to use. One note would be that the new impact works well with the rubber band pulled slightly higher on the needle bar, so it is perpendicular when the armature is in the down position.

Stainless Steel V3r "23 / 24" Sidewinder Spring- New stainless steel main spring for all "23" and "24" model sidewinders. 

Stainless Steel V3r Sidewinder Spring - Updated spring used on 2020 to 2022 sidewinders. Slightly different shape with a flat rear end of the spring. Also used on V7 Sidewinders under the armature bar to catch the impact pin at top end of up stroke. 

OG Sidewinder Spring - From the original V3R sidewinder (2019-2020). Used for both the pivoting and rear stoke spring.  Also can be used for v3, v4, and v5. Original rounded rear end of the spring.

Ghost Dog Revival Spring - For the Dan Kubin X Adam Ciferri Ghost Dog Revival. Stainless steel front and backer spring included.
