The main goal for this batch is for simple tuning, but with the option to dial it precisely for those who know how they want their machine to run. Considered by some to be the most revolutionary Sidewinder yet.

The v7.5 Sidewinder holds a place above the rest. It has the unique ability to allow users to adjust stroke length and hit independently. This means you can keep the stroke that works for you while playing with needle groupings, style, and skin types.

Deluxe Blackened Hardware
Impact screw and Impact pin are now adjusted with the 1.5mm Allen key provided with the machine. Impact screw is also adjustable for precise tuning.
Straight angle on drive spring shelf on the armature bar, allowing for a more effortless and graceful hit.
More prominent timing marks on the side plate for the impact pin. (for advanced tuning/stroke adjustment, this helps with being more intuitive)

Dan Kubin's Newest Sidewinder, the V46er!

The 46er is a culmination of my versions 4-6 Sidewinders, remastered and enhanced to perfection. This machine features a very large stroke adjustment range that can suite single needle work, all the way up to the largest liners and mag shaders.

This machine is very strong off the tip with a great follow-through. Its number one purpose is as a strong, precise, off the tip liner; though it has proven to be much more capable.

Highlights:

Black Brass Frame with Custom Distressed Finish(*Finish may vary) 🖤
Wider springs for more durability.
Large, easy to turn, hardened steel stroke wheel. Pre-set stroke range and middle timing mark to prevent the machine from getting too far out of tune when experimenting.
Hardened alloy steel impact pin. Positioned towards the rear of the frame to help with noise
Large cam with precise timing mark. Allows for easier, and more precise impact alignment checks
Smooth, easy clamping tube vice.
Forward weight distribution for better ergonomics.
Reliable Mabuchi motor. -because they run forever without losing consistency.

Parts are milled in his authorized and trusted machine shop, then assembled by DK certified trained technicians at the Workhorse facility in Michigan. All Sidewinders go through rigorous QC checks and are all ran through our testing machine to lightly break in. One year warranty on all models. All current Sidewinders are serviced by Workhorse, some older models are serviced by Dan or one of his certified technicians found on his website.

Weighs 6 oz. This is the Standard Brass version. Slight more weight, but also slightly less vibration than the Featherweight edition.

RCA Specifications:

RCA version is wired for the harder hit mode only using RCA connection
This RCA motor housing was designed around a Critical Universal battery pack, but fits with most battery packs I have tried, such as Musotoku, Ink Claw, and Papa.
This will also work good with a right-angle RCA cord.
Clip Cord option still works, it is just wired backwards (Positive Down for Harder Hit)
The position of the battery makes the machine’s balance point much more forward, like a pen.

The Bowers Arm Rest is extremely adjustable. It can adjust up and down, spins and the angle of the pad is adjustable as well. There are three lines on the stroke wheel…shortest line is for shortest stroke / smaller groupings, the 3/4 line is middle of the road for medium stroke / medium to large groupings, full line is long stroke for large grouping work. You can’t make it too long or too short, play with it and find the right setting for the work you are doing.

Specifications:

Normal operating range: 5.3 - 6 volts for lining, 4 - 5.5 volts for shading. It is not recommended to exceed 7.
Excellent for fine line, black and grey, color packing.
Can drive 14 liner
Intended for standard needle on bar. For cartridges, you may use a rubber band to negate the tension by pulling the rubber band over the top of the armature. Needle on bar will have more hit and cartridges will be slightly subdued and less aggressive, which is the nature of a cartridge.
