The renowned rotary liner. Effortlessly sink any size line by just grazing the skin.
The motor is the same as the V2-V4 and V7 Sidewinder, which has proven the test of time. It has been a favorite of the long time Sidewinder collectors.
Vice-Lock that easily tightens on nearly any tube
Great for all varieties of Line Work or as a Fast Shader/Packer
Timing mark on the cam and frame for setting the impact screw. (Just like the V5 and V6)
Marked stroke dial so you can easily play with the stroke without fear of losing that sweet spot. You can’t make it too long or too short
Machine Setup:
Standard Needle on Bar:
Needle Bar Tensioner - when setting up your needle and tube, position needle tensioner in desired position depending on the amount of tension you want to add to the needle bar. Adjust position by loosening the thumbscrew and then tightening when you reach desired tension.
Rubber Band alternative setup - Loosen / remove thumbscrew to take the needle tensioner off. Then when setting up the machine, wrap a thick rubber band around the motor cap and across the front of the machine to add needle bar tension. It is recommended that you use Thick Rubber Bands and Dan's Perfect Nipples.
Cartridges: wrap a rubber band around the motor cap and over the top of the armature bar to counteract the cartridge's upward tension. Thick or standard rubber bands both work, it will just depend on the tension of the cartridge membrane or band to determine with rubber band provides the proper counter resistance.
RCA Specifications:
RCA version is wired for the harder hit mode only using RCA connection. If using a clip cord on this version, they are wired opposite of the standard clip cord version, use Positive side DOWN for hard hit, Positive up for a more muted hit.
This RCA motor housing was designed around a Critical Universal battery pack, but fits with most battery packs I have tried, such as Musotoku, Ink Claw, and Papa.
This will also work good with a right-angle RCA cord.
Clip Cord option still works, it is just wired backwards.
The position of the battery makes the machine’s balance point much more forward, like a pen.

Dan Kubin's Newest Sidewinder, the V46er with RCA + Clip Cord Connection!
The 46er is a culmination of my versions 4-6 Sidewinders, remastered and enhanced to perfection. This machine features a very large stroke adjustment range that can suite single needle work, all the way up to the largest liners and mag shaders.
This machine is very strong off the tip with a great follow-through. Its number one purpose is as a strong, precise, off the tip liner; though it has proven to be much more capable.
Highlights:
Wider springs for more durability.
Large, easy to turn, hardened steel stroke wheel. Pre-set stroke range and middle timing mark to prevent the machine from getting too far out of tune when experimenting.
Hardened alloy steel impact pin. Positioned towards the rear of the frame to help with noise

Weighs 6 oz. This is the Standard Brass version. Slight more weight, but also slightly less vibration than the Featherweight edition.
Recommended voltage range: 4 - 6.5 volts
Approximate stroke range: 2 - 4mm (keep in mind the stoke goes up more due to the springs. The stroke of a Sidewinder cannot be compared to other rotaries as the hit is completely different)

The Black Half Hard Nipples are Dan's most recent version of these custom made grommets, designed to be a little softer to help combat spitting issues some folks have, yet still stronger than standard nipples to hold up to the aggressive nature of hard hitting machines such as his Sidewinder.
The Red Full Hard Nipples are the OG Dan Kubin custom grommets made from the most durable rubber Dan could find. They are extra rigid providing a little more hit PLUS the strength to withstand the aggressive nature of Dan's machines. We are bringing these back again now as many people have requested them and know how to tattoo well with them with no spitting issues.
Both versions are custom MADE IN THE USA. These are the only Tattoo Nipples we know of that are made in the USA. Plus Dan's Thickass Rubbers are the only tattoo rubber bands offered that are made in the USA. It costs more to do this, and it is a bit more challenging, but worth it!

DK Swift Tips - 5 to 11 Round - Box of 24 Tips (Grip Not Included)
*Must be used with DK Swift Tip Grip
These tips have great visibility and come to a nice point. The biggest benefit is being able to see more needle even when you don't have a lot of needle hanging out.
The shape of the round tips is in between a round and a diamond. That said, it is the best of both worlds. It allows for maximum versatility and stability for a wider range of sizes.
This tip configuration is for your medium round needle groupings.
I prefer it for my straight 5 rounds up to straight 9RL, or a tight or bug pin 11 Round. (if using a traditional 11 Round, I recommend the 9-18 size)
These tips are hydrophobic and have an antimicrobial additive in them. That said, you may need to check with your local health dept for protocol on single use plastic products used in the tattooing process. (such as ink caps)

Our gloves are made of a mixture of nitrile and organic material that our manufacturer blends together which is why they perform the same way regular nitrile gloves do while still holding the capacity to degrade quickly.
The organic compound additive attracts micro-organisms (bacteria, fungi etc) that literally consume the glove material. Once this process is complete the only thing left behind is H20, CO2 and methane. Our manufacturing partners also conducted studies on how this process affects soil and plants that are exposed to this and found that it has no detrimental affects on their germination or growth patterns.
